Level II Web Designer

Under the guidance of the web operations manager, the Web Designer will be responsible for designing interfaces and templates for numerous websites, designing web ad banners in animated gif, standard jpeg, and flash versions. Works with the web operations manager, marketing specialists, direct mail manager, and sales to ensure that designs are effectively capturing the available market. Will be responsible for working collaboratively as a member of the web operations and marketing team in a fast-paced environment, with focus on completing work in accordance with established plans and quality standards. Ability to multitask and be involved with several different initiatives and job responsibilities is a necessity.
Ongoing Job Responsibilities:
- Design website templates.
- Design web advertisement banners.
- Create different variations of numerous web pages.
- Document and file creatives and compositions to make them easier to manage.
- Work direct mail manager to help produce direct response creatives.
- Update graphics on numerous websites.
Requirements:
- Proficient in Macromedia graphic design programs.
- Proficient in Flash design, including some actionscript.
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Knowledge of web design.
- Clean, corporate design style.
- Ability to translate design templates into HTML.
- Basic understanding of good user interfaces.
- Should be entrepreneurial but work well in a team environment.
Preferences:
- Knowledge of accessibility guidelines such as 508 and/or WCAG.
- Experience in server side programming.
- Experience in marketing or marketing communications fields.
- Experience in high-tech business-to-business organizations plans.
