Ongoing Job Responsibilities
- Under the guidance of the Web operations manager, implement new websites and continually update content for all current NextStudent Web properties
- Work with Web designers, developers, and search manager to create and maintain new and existing SEO-focused websites
- Work with Web designers, copywriters, and pay-per-click specialist to implement and conduct multivariate design, layout, and messaging testing on Web pages, online ads, and PPC ads
- Support external partners and affiliates with technical integration
- Provide technical support to members of the Web marketing team
- Serve as a liaison between I.T. and Web marketing
- Modify and update website code as necessary
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, with at least one year experience as a webmaster or similar
- Strong understanding of HTML and CSS
- Proficiency in ASP, PHP, JavaScript
- Understanding of .NET applications
- Proficiency in Adobe Dreamweaver
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong understanding of Excel and basic lookup formulas
- Good grasp of WordPress
- Understanding of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Fireworks
- Working knowledge of on-page and off-page SEO, basic principles of Web design, marketing concepts, blogging, and social networking
- Strong analytical skills, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work with a number of different personalities and temperaments
- Ability to deliver on-schedule when under pressure, calmly and quickly adjusting to shifting priorities
- Results-oriented, with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing and managing multiple simultaneous projects and responsibilities
- Comfortable offering and receiving constructive feedback
- All-around technical expertise, balanced by creativity and a rampant sense of humor
Preferences
- Experience with VBA
- Experience with C# and C++
