Dependents of Disabled Kentucky Law Enforcement Officers & Firefighters (KRS 164.2842)
EMPLOYEE-RELATED awards for children or non-remarried spouse's of disabled Kentucky law enforcement officers or fighters that are pursuing postsecondary studies in a Kentucky stated-supported institution. Children must be over the age of 17 and under 23. Employees must have been Kentucky residents at time of employment and been totally disabled as a result of a service related injury or while in training for active service. Award amount is a waiver of any matriculation or tuition fees at state-supported universities, colleges or vocational schools. Due date and number of awards may vary. Contact the KHEAA or the student's school's financial aid office for more information and/or application.
